Choosing a Dashboard

Omnodex has two dashboards. Both show the same agent activity from the same event log, and you can use either or both.

The local dashboard runs on your own machine with omnodex dashboard. It is part of every tier, needs no account, and makes no network calls. It shows the Omnodex homes on that one machine.

The hosted dashboard at dashboard.omnodex.com is part of the Hosted tier and above. A connected host encrypts its events before they leave the machine, and your browser decrypts them, so you can open it from any device and see every connected machine together.

The two are independent. The local dashboard never needs the hosted one, and stopping the local dashboard does not change what a connected host uploads. On a connected host, a running omnodex dashboard also streams new events to the hosted dashboard.

Both dashboards name a session by its title when it has one, and by its project folder when it does not, so several sessions in the same project can be told apart. The title is read from the agent’s own files by its hooks and recorded as a session.renamed event.

AgentWhere the title comes from
Claude CodeThe name you give with /rename. Until you rename, the title Claude Code generates for the session. Your name always wins over a generated one.
CodexThe thread name, whether Codex chose it or you renamed the thread.
Antigravity, Cowork, MCP proxy sessionsNo title yet. These sessions are named by their project folder.

A new title is picked up at the next prompt in that session, and at session start and end. Sessions that ended before the hooks recorded titles keep their project folder name.

  • Hosted Dashboard: creating an account, connecting hosts, automatic sync, live streaming, and multiple machines.
